CBA Announces Bud Keene as Director of Snowboarding and Free Ride Skiing

Crested Butte, CO - Crested Butte Academy, the highly regarded winter/alpine sports training and education program, is pleased to announce the appointment of Bud Keene as its Director of Snowboarding and Free Ride Skiing.

Mr. Keene brings a wealth of experience to Crested Butte Academy, having held positions such as Head Halfpipe Coach for the 2006 U.S Olympic Snowboard Team and Head Halfpipe Coach for the U.S. Snowboard Team. Impressively, Mr. Keene was Shaun "The Flying Tomato" White's coach when Shaun won the gold medal for the men's halfpipe in the 2006 Winter Olympic Games in Torino.

Mr. Keene has received numerous accolades, including the 2003 and 2006 USSA International Snowboard Coach of the Year; the 2006 USSA Coach of the Year; the 2006 USOC National Coach of the Year; and an induction into the MMSC Olympians Hall of Fame along with Billy Kidd. In short, Mr. Keene is the most decorated coach in the history of the sport and today is considered one of its foremost coaching experts.

Crested Butte Academy is a fully accredited college preparatory (6-12) boarding/day school combined with world class training camp/academy programs in alpine skiing, free ride skiing, snowboarding, and high altitude running.
